But that was last time around in '12 when (Radicalized) Right Wing Professor Paul Rahe was promoting the coming Romney Landslide. Trust him. It was gonna happen. Just bow your head and say it soft. It was gonna be yuuuge!
So it is not surprising that this time around, the (nutty) Professor is once again questioning conventional views and the Lamestream Media's reports about polls favoring Hillary.
They may be right, but....on the other hand.....them polls could be SKEWED:
The other possibility is that we are on the receiving end of a massive con — and that the polling results are designed to encourage or discourage voting on the part of the supporters of one candidate or the other.
Here, Wikileaks may be of use for, as Tyler Durden at Zerohedge informs us, the recent dump of emails shows that John Podesta received a message some time ago from Atlas Reports, detailing how to produce polls of use to the Clinton campaign by way of oversampling certain groups, and he points out that the recent polls by Reuters, Pravda-on-the-Potomac, and, yes, ABC News have greatly oversampled Democrats.
The name of the game could be to subvert the Republicans and depress voting for their candidates by conveying to the general public that the election is over, that Trump has already lost, and that there is no point in turning out. Would such respected outfits as CNN. Reuters, Pravda-on-the-Hudson, and ABC News be party to such a maneuver?
Would these and other news outlets work closely in tandem with the Clinton campaign to get the Republicans to nominate Donald Trump, to protect Hillary Clinton from interrogation, and to trash Trump after he got the nomination?
Reasonable minds may inquire.Perhaps Romney will indeed win that landslide this time around. Reasonable minds wonder.
The basic root of problem that the right wing professor demonstrates here is a seething distrust of experts and by extension "facts." Its like cement shoes just dragging 'em down leaving them with only ideology and often times, conspiracy theory, to fight the facts.
The most hardcore wingers just cannot step out of the "safe zone" that is the conservative echo chamber and into the sunlight of Modern America. The hatred of government experts (bureaucrats) is so consuming that it spills over to a "teahad" against just about any fact sets that contradict the goals of ideology.
When this happens, Conspiracy Theory to becomes a substitute for knowledge. You see it all the time. Global Warming is a good example. The laws of physics may contradict right wing ideology about the omnipotence of the "free market," but if the scientists cannot be trusted, then you got an out. You don't have to deal with the science if there is a nefarious conspiracy.
Polls are another example. The data shows what it shows. But if the Lamestream Media is involved, maybe they're running a con. So you cannot trust 'em.
But as dishonest as Pravda-on-the-Hudson is, at least they won't be running scams to get readers to convert their retirement accounts into gold to survive the coming Obamapacalypse. That'd be the advertisers at the NRO playing the conspiracy game by targeting wingers.
